BMLAA DIRECTORY PHOTO CONTEST
The board of the BMLAA has voted to hold a photo contest for those people living on Bad Medicine Lake, or those people owning, renting or otherwise using the Bad Medicine Lake area for their recreation and vacationing experiences. The purpose of the contest is to end up with two selected winners whose photos will be used on the new BMLAA Directory. This Directory will be produced in the spring of 2013 and will include the winning 2 photos. The rules for this contest are as follows:
RULES:
1. Theme-The theme of this photo contest is “Life on Bad Medicine”
1. Photos must have been taken in Forest Township and preferably on or around Bad Medicine Lake. Photos must be of Bad Medicine Lake or surrounding area, its wildlife, its vegetation, its activities, its people or any combination of the above. They should depict, in some way, life or life’s activities on or near the lake.
3. Photos must be taken within 1 year of the starting date which is June 25, 2011. (In other words we will accept pictures taken in the past but would like them to be recent, within one year prior to our starting date).
4. All submissions must be in color and should be digitally submitted via e-mail or via computer disk. Your submission must include your name, address, phone number and/or e-mail along with the date the picture was taken. You should give your photo a Name.
5. You may submit no more than 4 photos per person. Photos must be of high enough quality that they can be reproduced for publication in the Directory.
6. Photos will be judged by Professor Wayne Gudmundson based upon their quality, creativity, composition and adherence to the theme. He will choose 10 finalists from which the board will then choose two winners.
7. Photo’s entered will become the property of BMLAA for use in publication in the directory. All rights to the photos will therefore be relinquished to the BMLAA.
8. Photos may not contain unfavorable or offensive content to include nudity, violence, drugs or drug paraphernalia, lewd acts, symbols, acts of hatred or inappropriate behavior. This list is not all inclusive. What constitutes unfavorable or offensive shall be determined solely by the BMLAA Board of Directors in its sole discretion.
9. By submitting an entry you hereby agree that the BMLAA Board of Directors in its sole discretion reserves the right to eliminate from competition any photos they determine to be inappropriate, in violation of the rules, or for any reason it deems appropriate to do so.
9. Dates of submission shall be between June 25, 2011 and October 31, 2012.
10. Photos submitted with identifiable people in them must be accompanied by a release form from each identifiable person releasing the BMLAA from any liability in its stated purpose of reproducing the photo’s and displaying their images on the BMLAA directory or in other publications it deems appropriate. If any of those identifiable people are minors, then their parents/parent or legal guardian must submit a release form.
11. The BMLAA Board of Directors reserves the right to change these rules at any time and will make appropriate efforts to publish changes on our website.
PRIZES:
Two photos will be chosen as winners from those submitted. The winning selections will be featured on the next BMLAA Directory. Each winning selection shall receive a cash prize of $25.
